Should I repair or replace my siding?
If damage is limited to a few boards and the rest is in good shape, a repair can make sense. Widespread cracking, warping, soft spots, or moisture behind the siding usually means replacement is the better value.
What is housewrap and do I need it?
Housewrap is the weather barrier between your sheathing and the siding. It sheds water that gets behind the siding while letting the wall dry. Any re-side is the time to make sure it's intact.
