Second-Story Deck, Stairs & Railings
An elevated Trex deck with Westbury aluminum railings, AZEK skirting, and a full staircase down to the patio.

How it came together
The challenge
The deck sits a full story above a walkout patio on a sloped, wooded lot, so it needed solid support and a safe, comfortable way down to the yard.
The solution
The deck was framed on posts and footings, then finished with low-maintenance Trex composite decking. A staircase with a landing runs down to the patio, and a Westbury aluminum railing system in white with black balusters wraps the deck and every stair run. The outside of the deck was skirted with AZEK boards for a clean, low-maintenance finish.
The result
A wide, open upper deck that looks out into the trees, with clean railing lines and an easy walk down to the patio.
